Our mission is to bring back the lost art of slow living, inviting you to join us on a journey of reflection, gratitude and connection. We sell British animal fats, natural homewares and thoughtfully made skincare, all rooted in using the whole animal, wasting less and cooking better. Everything we offer comes from British farms where animals are raised slowly and with care — traceable, honest and shaped by the countryside.
Now more than ever, it feels important to stand behind the farmers who don’t just produce the nation’s food, but also beautiful, useful things for our homes and kitchens. It’s not about having more — it’s about valuing what we already have.
Animal Fats and Food
We’ve spent a long time being told to fear fat, but in kitchens and farms across Britain, good animal fat has always been a quiet staple. It’s what people cooked with, what gave food its depth, and what helped meals feel satisfying and complete.
We source our fats from pasture-raised animals and if possible, from organic, regenerative farms, where the land is cared for and nothing is wasted. Using traditional fats isn’t about chasing trends — it’s about returning to something simple and honest.
They bring warmth to your cooking, richness to your food, and a way of using the whole animal with respect.

Our homewares are made from honest materials — leather, wool, wood and cloth — chosen to be used, handled and enjoyed. They’re the kind of things that grow more beautiful with time, not less.
Each piece comes from animals and farms that are already part of our food system, helping nothing go to waste and giving new life to what would otherwise be forgotten.
These are things for slow mornings, warm kitchens and well-loved tables. Things to keep, not replace.
Natural Skincare
The skincare we supply is made the way it once was — simple, nourishing and purposeful. We stock handmade tallow balms and soaps crafted in the West Country using locally sourced, pasture-raised, organic tallow. Rich in naturally occurring vitamins, tallow closely mirrors the skin’s own oils, making it deeply nourishing without unnecessary additives. Thoughtfully made, traceable and rooted in respect.
Apparel & Accessories
At Mary Mint, our apparel and accessories are thoughtfully chosen from British makers who share our love of craftsmanship and natural materials. We specialise in beautifully made pieces using skins, hides and leathers, each one sustainably sourced and finished with care. Timeless, practical and full of character, our collection is designed to be worn and loved for years to come.
Our Story
What began with a simple chip and a memory of my Pop’s old pan of lard has grown into a small business built on respect — for animals, for farmers, and for the land they tend.
Traceability
The farmers we source our food products from care for their land in a way that allows soil, grass and animals to thrive together. This slower, gentler way of farming leaves the countryside richer for the next generation.
Slow Living
We believe that cooking from scratch, wasting less and filling your home with things that last makes everyday life feel calmer and more meaningful.
